I thought I'd update you on a few articles I've had published lately that are relevant here: governance, and a guide to ITIL.

The Rise of Governance and Assurance fits well with recent discussions here on what governance is and isn't. It stems from the Seventh Vision of the IT Swami.

These three form a sequence as an informal "beginner's guide to ITIL" (I wanted to call it An Unofficial Introduction to the ITIL Version 3 Lifecycle, but that was a bit too cheeky)..

A Completely Unauthorized Biography - Part I: A History of ITIL looks at how we got to where we are today, skeptically.
