Normal transmission will be resumed as soon as possible

Sorry about the lack of meaty content of late: I'm working hard on several projects (gotta eat) including the first week of go-live on a fairly substantial system: 1500 users, multiple new integrated applications, core business operations, life-critical. I'm putting in place all the service support processes for when the project team hands it over to normal operations, taking them to 24x7, improving SDLC...

I'm also advising a communications company on introducing Change Management for SOX compliance; an IT service provider on introducing some of the ITIL capabilities starting with service catalog; and a government department on implementation of service desk technology and related ITIL processes. Alll good grist for the mill of future content but obviously consuming most of my bandwidth.

I've also just finished an academic-reviewed paper that has been accepted for an international conference in the USA next year, launched my family-records beta site for my relatives, and started work on a new site to do with lowering TCO of IT operations to be launched in the new year. In addition I started podcasting from this site as you can see. And a couple of other projects still under wraps...

Not to mention billing tomorrow :-)

I'll be giving this site some attention next week. Until then, hope you enjoy what's already here

Your Influence Is Growing!

You ought to get together with this guy: ITSM Report.

I just spotted the quote from you Mr Skeptic on his front page!

The serious point though is that more people now seem to be questionning the march into ITIL. You must take some credit for the first heads up on it.

I hope transmission resumes soon.
