With the exception of Introduction to Real ITSM I'm getting little feedback yet. I need it to (a) improve and (b) tell others what you think. To encourage it I'll give a free pdf copy of The Worst of the IT Skeptic each month to a reader's feedback chosen at random, until further notice. You can feed back in one of several ways

Got a tricky question about ITIL?

You asked for it...
I have read these three quickly, I might need to read them again to get deeper but here is a quick review:
Real ITSM is a must, if you don't know the deathcycle, you are not an ITSM professional. I think that Rob should stop considering it as (only) a joke. Actually it would be great if there was an institute which would grant realt itsm expert certificates to those who have experience, understand itsm issues are not so easily fooled by shiny covers.
Owning ITIL is good and might be useful as a giveaway for CIO's who have no time for training. It seems to be a common problem that process Owners never have time to study ITIL and do not always understand their role. It is a bit too optimistic on the the value of V3, for example the comment on CSI is a very British understatement which some readers might miss.
The CMDB look could be improved. There are some good ideas but too much space is used shooting down some idiotic consultant reports.
