I too thought that this was going to be community based etc. Now I feel that it will just be another place for vendors to add vendor style content - which in turn will NOT facilitate real "best practice" experience becoming available.

A let down in my book :(

Maybe I was right in my previous post that the current best-management-practice site is it!

As far as the Live site goes, given we're talking about a commercial product, I have no objections to a pay service provided it adds value. For those that are serious about using v3 guidance, maybe this is the "missing link" that will help people connect to what helps produce results.

If nothing else, I am certainly a bit of an optimist...

Hi Skeptic,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that the ITIL Live Portal was going to be free. It's bugged me so much that I've written a follow up ( http://itilimp.blogspot.com/2008/06/itil-live-portal-what-did-they-promi... ) because I wanted to check what was published rather than just what I had heard Sharon say at various seminars and conferences. I'm still pissed off about it!
