Ask your vendor what they mean by ITIL compliant

Some time next year the IT Skeptic will do a full list of ITIL compliance criteria, but for now check out this article for some ITIL questions to make your prospective vendor squirm

Love your work.

"ITIL Compliance" is a big BIG no no for me. I despise the word. All throughout the Foundations courses I deliver I'm constantly pulling out my soapbox and talking about how it doesn't exist. A loyal listener to my ITIL podcast pointed me to your recent article. I couldn't WAIT to turn it into a podcast. (Hope you don't mind). Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that I love your work and I'm constantly referencing this site (amongst others) when giving my ITIL Foundations courses. Even though ITIL is my fave framework I'm always open to differing viewpoints. Your questions that you raise in your ITSM watch article are PERFECT. I'm sorry but I'm going to use them over and over and over again and continue to direct folks here. ;-)

Keep up the skeptic work!

Permission is required to reproduce IT Skeptic materials

Thankyou for your kind words. Actually I do mind: permission is in fact required to reproduce materials (see the page footer). You are a commercial operation, and I don't think it is appropriate for a commercial consultancy to be reproducing my material without permission, even if the podcast itself is free.

I appreciate your support and I don't want to seem unsporting, but the terms of use are pretty clear.

For anyone reading please contact me before using material (other than short quotes of course) whether for commericial purposes or otherwise.
